🌸 Poppy - Spiritual Awakening of the Heart

Do you remember the little girl you once were? Sitting on the floor, spreading sheets of paper and sketchbooks all around you, with crayons scattered like small constellations, colouring the world with your feelings?

Not all of those feelings were bright and colourful. Sometimes you reached for black charcoal instead, drawing the hidden pieces no one was meant to see.

Now, imagine a beautiful red poppy, fully opened, lifting itself from the page and beginning to dance around you, whispering softly: the time for hiding has passed. Come dance in the flame of love.

Love? Yes - the love of Mother Miriam, who now holds your hand as we step together into this awakening of the heart.

Open your journal and write.

Write the words slowly, as if you were embroidering them.

Do you remember…You laid paper on the floor, crayons and paints beside you, and for hours you could create. You poured your heart into colours, into shapes, or sketched in charcoal - black and smudged like the center of a poppy - frightening scenes you never showed to anyone. You closed the notebook and walked away as if disappearing into the darkness of the unspoken. You sealed yourself inside your heart like a crystal chamber, cold from the absence of love and deaf to your own calling.

And then the Little Girl appears. Calm, confident, smiling. In a red tulle skirt and shiny black shoes, she spins in pirouettes faster and faster until your head begins to whirl.

You put on a long red dress and a wide-brimmed black hat. You hear only the rhythm of your heels on the crystal floor as you walk toward her. Beneath your beautiful makeup, you hide all your fears, your sadness, your longing to be loved exactly as you are. You hide your desire for tenderness, and the sensitivity you have not been able to speak of for a long time - yet you offer it to the world like seeds scattered from a poppy head.

They spill everywhere, impossible to contain, reflected in the soft colours of the eyeshadow on your eyelids - delicate and subtle, gently covering the emotions without changing what lives within.

Then Mother Miriam appears. She stands in the doorway - quiet, still - yet Her presence spreads through the crystal chamber like warmth that melts ice. She says nothing. She gives no instructions, no advice. She does not rescue. She simply is. And the way She looks at you… you want to hide inside Her tender, loving gaze, to dissolve into it, to become one. In that presence you begin to breathe differently - a little deeper, a little slower... Much deeper. Much slower.

You allow the Little One to remain in the light. You let her spin, dance, and express everything she has carried. Allegro! You take her hands and whirl with her. The hat flies off like a black raven, and your heels no longer strike ice but a soft carpet. It is warm. Soft. Safe.

You dance together, faster and faster - allegro - "deep calls unto deep like the roar of waterfalls!" - until you become one turning circle: bodies, breath, and hearts merging in a love that heals a long - forgotten longing. The red poppy spins around you as if each petal absorbs old pain and dries wounds that bled in silence for years. In this motion, chaos becomes beauty, and movement becomes a space where peace, wholeness, and unity are found.

In this dance, in this union with the little one, you begin to understand: love can be a refuge, love can be an awakening, love can be the source of healing.

You feel that your heart now has room for tenderness, that you can receive yourself without guilt or shame, that sensitivity and depth of feeling no longer need to be hidden or frozen. You do not have to fix or change anything. You may simply be - like the Little One, like the poppy - whole, fully loved by yourself as you are loved by God.

Miriam still looks at you with that tenderness, as if She wants you to remember how to look at yourself and love yourself completely. There is no past. There is no guilt. There is no shame.

You are full, reborn, converted in the grace of knowing the truth that heals.

Allegro: the heart whirls in light, dancing in the rhythm of life and love. Love of others begins within. Let nothing guide you but truth, let nothing bind you but love.

Flower: Poppy

Colour: red – the fire of love

Note: G for zeal

Allegro – a musical tempo marking that calls for a lively, energetic, and enthusiastic pace. The perfect tempo for expressing passion, fervour, and joyful movement.

Musical example: Ludwig van Beethoven – Symphony No. 5, First Movement

Today I put on my headphones and try to read with music playing softly in my ears. But something tells me this moment needs quiet. I take them off. I need silence to walk through these clusters of poppies.

From the heart of Beatrice:

“Love awakens the soul as the sun awakens a flower - first gently, then almost painfully, until it fully blossoms and can no longer close.”

Poppy - The Fire of a Heart That Begins to See

On June days, as I walked along Polish country paths between forests and meadows, my attention was often drawn to small and larger clusters of red poppies. Each time I stopped, I was filled with tenderness and wonder at those delicate blossoms. For so many years, I had not seen wild poppies or cornflowers in Canada - there, if anything, daisies were the ones that grew.

The poppy is like a sudden call within the soul - impossible to overlook, impossible to pass by indifferently. It rises from the fields of ordinary life, yet burns like fire. A reminder that even in the monotony of daily routine, a spark can appear, pointing to what truly matters. Maybe today… Maybe this is the day for me, for you.

Do you sometimes feel it - a soft, quiet whisper of something long asleep, pushed deep down? As if beneath the surface of the heart, a new rhythm begins to tremble? As if something were coming to life, though you do not yet know what it is?

The Flower of Fire That Ignites the Soul - Spiritual Sleep and Awakening

Perhaps the time has come for the awakening of a heart that has slept too long - like mine… or perhaps not asleep, but closed, cautious, accustomed to silence… because it was not appropriate, not the right time, not the right person.

And yet you know your heart is open, filled with a fire of love that burns to the depths. Then comes the day when a Ray of Love touches precisely the place that hurt the most and awakens it with a tender brush - sometimes so fleeting it goes unnoticed.

Awakening does not always look like suddenly jumping to your feet and knowing you are no longer asleep. Sometimes it is a tear in prayer. Sometimes a sudden refusal to accept what is shallow. Sometimes an ordinary–extraordinary opening of the eyes. It is the moment you rise and say: “Enough. I want to live truly, differently.”

The poppy does not ask whether it is appropriate. It does not compare itself to the noble rose. It simply burns - red, wild, beautiful.

So can you burn. In your own rhythm. In your own time. In your own being.

Where Grace appears, gentleness and inner warmth are born. Where Mother Miriam appears, peace and love are born.

Today, Beatrice speaks through the red poppy that so often grows among the traces of what has passed: “Open yourself. God has already touched you. Now it is your turn.”

God always takes the first step - He touches first, moves the heart, gives the desire, and creates the moment of grace. But He does not do everything for us - our openness, our response, our freedom are essential.

“Open yourself” - an invitation to allow yourself to feel, to trust, to be truly present. “God has already touched you” - perhaps through a word, a moment of emotion, an encounter, a longing, a tear. “Now it is your turn.” Now you can take a step: say yes, stop running, and receive His presence.

It is like the poppy - it does not need to search for the sun that already exists, but when it feels it, it opens completely, even if a moment before it was still a closed bud.

The poppy does not bloom cautiously or gradually. It blooms with its whole being for a single day, yet its beauty remains in memory forever.

Perhaps today you are invited to awaken to a love that is no longer only a longing, but a decision.

In 1983, Anna DÄ…mbska heard these words:

“I come here to serve you, as a father serves his children with wisdom, strength, and care. It depends only on your faith and trust whether you receive help, because your permission for what I will do within you is necessary - and one gives permission only to the one whose love, skill, and power one believes in.”

On my paths of faith, besides Beatrice of Nazareth, you may meet other women - women of fire and light who have fascinated me. In this post, I share who they are and why they are important to me. Polish version available for now – English translation coming soon.

🌸🤍 Today, try this:

🤍 Sit for a moment in silence and ask your heart: “What am I ready for now?”

🤍 Light a candle and say to God: “Awaken in me what is asleep. I open myself.”

🤍 Notice what is beginning to open within you - and do not be afraid to write it down.

🌺🤍 Prayer of the Heart - the Fire of Love:

God, my Abba, who breathed life into barren earth, awaken in me what is asleep.

Let my heart burn not through emotion, but through Your presence and Your truth.

Teach me not to fear the inner fire.

Let it not be shameful or heavy for me to be whole - gentle, passionate, longing, open to myself and to You.

May fullness, love, and healing arise from within, so that my soul and body may receive them.

Amen.

I hope that, for you, encounters with Beatrice will be an opportunity to see both love and yourself in a new way.

If you like, write me one sentence that your heart feels today. Or send me your flower drawn, photographed, or imagined…

I will look with tenderness. ♡ Beatrice
